An opportunity to promote good cyclist-skater relations and help campaign for better cycle/skate paths !!
We'll be joining a large group of cyclists (adults and children) for their annual ""awareness ride"" aiming to raise funds to improve the A10 cycle path which will eventually extend all the way from Cambridge to Royston
We'll skate/cycle from Cambridge P&R to the Phillimore Garden Centre in Melbourn where refreshments will be served.
The entire route will be off road, and 95% on lovely smooth cycle path beside the A10.

The only reason this is advertised as ""advanced"" (for skaters not cyclists) is due to a short section where we will go over a bridge that crosses the M11 and a gravel path that is tough going for about 200 metres. Confident skaters will have no problem with these aspects, but we wouldn't want to slow down the cyclists or have any accidents along the way.
This event is primarily for cyclists, but we have permission to join in, as long as we ""behave ourselves"" :)
Following the event, we can skate back to Cambridge or take a train
